SARAH VAUGHAN
​
Founder
Sarah is the founder of The Play Well Trust. She is a qualified teacher and early years specialist with over 20 years experience of supporting children and families in a wide range of settings. She is passionate about the benefits of play for children's health and education.
Sarah is also a qualified holistic therapist, children's author and mum of three.
JULIE ELMES
Trustee
Julie Elmes is a highly skilled photographer, who takes many of the promotional photos for The Play Well Trust. Her work has been selected by Rankin to appear in the "This is Britain" Children In Need book and she is a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.
She is also an expert in procurement and process management for large projects.
MARION HAMPSON-GHANI
Trustee
Marion is a qualified social worker, working mainly in mental health and disability for 17 years.
More recently, she has worked as a volunteer co-ordinator with the charity Home-Start, who provide emotional and practical support to families with young children going through a difficult time.
LISA WOOD
Trustee
Lisa is a mum of four, fabulous hairdresser and fitness instructor. She was inspired to offer her support to The Play Well Trust following her own experiences at Kings College Hospital in London, where her son underwent neurosurgery for chiari malformation decompression.
During her time at the hospital Lisa was deeply moved by the other children and families that she met and now would like to give some of her time to supporting us to help others in similar situations.
WENDY
Trustee
Wendy is a mum of two, who has first-hand experience of looking after a critically ill child in hospital and at home.
She has worked in primary education for many years and has now qualified as a teacher.

When she is not busy doing all of these things, Wendy is fundraising for the Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. In 2018 she completed the London Marathon.
LOUISE BURGESS
Trustee
Louise is a very talented writer and expert in Social Media, Marketing and PR. She is also an excellent videographer who uses humour and narrative to get her message across.

Louise supports The Play Well Trust with press releases, social media and fundraising campaigns, as well as raising awareness of our work in the wider community.

ELAINE SPENCE
Trustee
Elaine has a background in finance, working for a large bank before taking on book keeping for companies.

Elaine is a mum of two, and has first hand experience of the amazing work that goes on at Great Ormond Street Hospital, as well as many other children's hospitals and services, as they have supported her and her lovely daughter for many years.
SELINA YEOMAN
Registered Play Therapist
Selina Yeoman is a registered Play Therapist with many years’ experience of working with children and families in a therapeutic context. She is very supportive of The Play Well Trust and advises us on the ways in which activities and resources could us be used to support children and their families.
